    Commissions setup

    Hello,

I'm trying to set the commission level for my account (IBrokers) and decided to try it first with Sim101 account.

I entered the $2,01 commission as minimum size in Simulation (and IBrokers) fields bought and sold 1 ES contract with 1 point of profit. Then generated the Account Performance report.

The commission stated in the report was $4,20, not $4,02 ($2,01 x 2).

    Did I make something wrong?

    Please, help.

    Kind regards,

    Sergey

    Hello Sergey,

    Thank you for your post.

Can you please tell me how many contracts you were trading and if you have a minimum commission defined or a tiered commission?

Also, please ensure that you do not have commission values set up by instrument.
    1. Go to Tools -> Instrument Manager
    2. Select the instrument you are trading with the right list.
    3. Click "Edit"
    4. Click on the "Misc" tab at the top
    5. Ensure that there are no commissions defined for this instrument.

If you have commissions defined for the instrument, please remove them and click OK.

      Hello,

I've just tried to sell and buy 1 contract of SP500 e-mini (ES) with 1 point of profit to verify the proper commission values.

      The minimum commission was defined.

I do not have commission values set up by instrument.

      Kind regards,

      Sergey

        Hello Sergey,

Can you please send a screen shot of these commissions being reported improperly and your commission tab of the options menu to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com with Attn: Wesley in the subject line and a reference to this thread?

To send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CRTL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

            Hello Sergey,

Thank you for providing this information for me.

I see that you have a commission defined for Kinetick of 2,10.

Since you are connecting to Kinetick for data, this is the commission that will be applied to your simulated orders.

Please change this value to 2,01 to resolve this.

I can see that your Account Performance report was generated for January to February of this year.

Commission will only apply to orders placed after the commission is defined within NinjaTrader, therefore, this report will not change when you change your commission for Kinetick.

Please place some orders after changing this commission value and check the Executions tab of the control center to confirm that the commission is being entered properly.
