    Indicators in day session plot

    Hello,

when plotting a chart of ES for the day session only, and then applying next indicators

    MACD
    EMA

i think the indicator is calculated taking the last bars of the previous day session. How can i configure the indicator to start calculating only with the bars of the today's session?

    Hello Sheriff,

When you apply indicators in a chart, the indicator will be calculated on all data present in the chart.

You would need to load data for just today in the chart and the indicators will be calculated on today's data only. Please ensure a session template is selected in the Data Series menu that does not spans across days (ETH templates span across days) and set 'Days to load' to 1.

It should load only data for today if the 'CME US Index Futures RTH' session template is selected and 'Days to load' is set to 1. Can you please right click in the chart and select 'Reload All Historical Data'. Check if now only one day of data is loaded.

What time zone is used for your PC clock?

Can you please confirm the 'CME US Index Futures RTH' session template uses Central time zone on your computer. Please select the session template in the Session Manager and check what time zone is reflected.

Yes, i think the problem should be because of the time zone. I am in Moscow UTC+4.

I dont know how to work with the session manager, what should i do?

I suggest to create a custom session template that runs from 12:00 AM to 12:00 AM UTC+4 and load it in your charts.

You can find instructions how to create custom session templates in the Session Manager at the link below.

If this will not work, please tell me at what step you get stuck.

Why from 12 am to 12 am?
The NYSE day session corresponds from 6:30 pm to 1:00 am Moscow time, Shouldn't i choose this period?

Yes, please use those times instead if you want the Nyse day session to be reflected in the chart. I assumed you wanted to have it data starting from 12:00 AM.

Please, have a look to the attached charts.

There is a gap in the time axis, from 0:00 to 1:00. I have been using a CME US ETH session template.

                        How can i fix this?

                          Hello Sheriff,

Could you please try reloading historical data by right clicking in the chart and selecting the 'Reload' option?

                              another doubt.

I want to plot in a day session chart the ES 12-11, the MACD, the EMA, Currentday OHL and Priorday OHL.
If a choose more than 1 day historical data the MACD and EMA indicator wont be plot correctly as they will take in account last bars of previous day for calculation.
If i choose only 1 day historical data, i wont be able to plot the Priorday OHL.

How should i configurate ninjatrader for plotting all indicators in one chart?
