workspace auto-save?

    workspace auto-save?

    Is it possible to have the active workspace auto-saved constantly? For example, if Ninja or the computer crashes, an auto-saved workspace will not lose recent notes, drawings, etc, made on open charts.

    Hello,

    It is not currently possible to auto save the workspace. Thank you for your suggestion on how we can improve our product. I will write this into development and once I have a tracking ID for this feature request, I will let you know.

        Any progress on autosave?. It would save me a lot of time rebuilding workspaces after a crash. I don't often save while setting up a new workspace.

                  Hi everyone

                  Just to add my 'vote': auto-save is a superb idea!

                  Just a couple of days ago, I was trying out some 'impossible' code and NT crashed as a consequence. I lost my most recent charts and un-compiled coding.

                  You get this feature, of course, in Word and Excel. I hope NT8 will have it.

                      May be a tad late at this point, but I would love this feature as well. Random program crashes do occur from time to time, and it is very frustrating having to try to recreate all of your charts. Maybe an auto-save every minute or so would do the trick.

                          Workspaces do not appear when opened

                          Can anyone tell me the following

                          1 why when i save a workspace i cannot re open it after i close it, it shows i saved it but when i click on it nothing comes up??

                          Also besides posting through someone elses post how in the world do you post on this forum?

                          Is there a phone number so i can talk to a real person about this issue im having with my workspaces?

                            Hello,

                            1.) I suspect that when closing NinjaTrader you right click on the NinjaTrader program group and select 'Close Window'. This action causes NinjaTrader to close all open windows in the workspace. NinjaTrader then prompts you to save workspace changes - if you save at this point, a blank copy of the workspace is created. To avoid this issue, please shut down NinjaTrader via the File > Exit option.

                            2.) Within any sub-fourm like the Charting section you will find a 'New Thread' button at the top left of the page just above the list of existing threads.

                            3.) We do not have an inbound phone number for platform support; our support policy is to solve as many issues as possible over email. The first point of contact for our Platform Support department is PlatformSupport [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com. This allows us to provide valuable information such as links and attachments not available over the phone as well as keep the cost of NinjaTrader one of the lowest in the industry. If we are unable to solve your issue within a few emails or if you simply prefer a call, we will provide a phone call with remote login to further assist.

                              Hi,

                              Is Auto-save feature enabled yet in ninjatrader version.
                              If so please guide on how to enable it.
                              Request had been open since many years.
                              Please advice.
