    Cant import or delete indicators

Upon imorting an indicator downloaded from this forum (spread indicator to plot UVOL - DVOL) I get the message :
"You have custom ninjascript files on your PC that have programming errors. These errors must be resolved before you can import a ninjascript archive".
First I tried deleting all custom indicators from their folder and restarting, but that failed. Next I tried delting them individually from the edit->delete function, but I got the message:
"... Indicator.cs can't be deleted. Thsi file is likely referenced by other ninjascript files and these dependencies need to be removed first".
So I removed all indicators from all my charts and restarted Ninja. Same problem.
    Just for a test I tried to recompile a stock NT indicator but I get the message;
"Metadata file G\ProgramFiles...etc NTcore.dll could not be found...
& ...Wilson ORMapper could not be found."
Why is NT trying to reference an old insatllation on an old hard disk and not the C drive?
Anyway I can't delete and I can't import although the indicators i was using were working fine.

    Taters,

I am happy to assist you.

Please right click in your NinjaScript editor > go to References > verify it looks like my attachment.

If not, please add these references.

You can also delete indicators directly from My Documents / NinjaTrader 7 / bin / custom / indicator , however its best to have NinjaTrader closed first.

It seems there are references to things that do not exist- there is nothing on the G drive but a fresh install of Vista. I'm running Ninja on Windows 7/64 from the c drive, and all the indicators are in the documents folder of the c drive.

        Taters,

This would explain the issue. If you change the references to reflect the appropriate location on the C: drive it should help resolve the issue so long as there aren't other indicators with programming errors.

Please let me know if I may assist further.

            Taters,

You can click "Remove" on the offending lines, then click "Add" and navigate to the correct location for the files. If you look at my attachment from before it shows where you can locate the files and to see if you have all of the required ones.

Please let me know if I may be of other assistance.

                Taters,

If you expand the furthest left column in the compiling errors section it will show you what file is causing these errors. Please let me know what file this is.

Also, indicators will continue to plot since they were compiled once before. Indicators in relation to what you can add to your chart do not change until they are compiled again with changes.

"Round numbers" indicator was the culprit. Was able to successfully delete it and NT is working properly now.
                  Thanks for your help!
                  Cheers,
                  Taters

                        jrichardson83,

To remove references, while in the Ninja Script editor, right click in the editor, and select "references."
(To get to the editor, Tools=> Edit Ninja Script=> (pick any indicator)=> "F5" to compile.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.
