CurrentBar in live trading

Hi,
How does the CurrentBar property behaves in real time live trading? Does it count the number of bars since the strategy was enabled? Does it reset only when disabling the strategy, regardless of disconnections, end of day etc.?

Thank you for your post.

CurrentBar will count the number of bars on the chart starting from the left most bar, this behavior is the same in both simulation and live trading. Regardless of when the strategy started the CurrentBar will count from the left most bar.
For example, if a chart has 100 bars of data, the very first bar of the chart (left most bar) will be number 0 (zero) and each subsequent bar from left to right is incremented by 1.

Patrick,
I guess my confusion arises from the interchanging use of 'Chart' and 'Automated Strategy'. Are the two equal in NT?

Thank you for your response.

The Chart is the visual representation of the bars (CandleStick, OHLC, etc.), where as the strategy is developed to use the chart data to determine Entries and Exits.

CurrentBar is an integer value representing the current bar of the chart.
