Market Replay delays

Is it just me is Market Replay "buggy" for everyone? Everything that I do with MR results in long periods of wait and "Not Responding" status.

From loading the initial (minimal...3 days) of data to loading a chart or two results in lengthy non-responsive status. Even if I slide the Replay "toggle" to another time frame after the data has all loaded (and had multiple delays and not responding) it will again have a similar long period of Not Responding.

Just wondering if this is just the way MR functions or is it something I'm doing?

If I were you, I would delete all replay data that you are not currently using and I would restrict the replay data to just that instrument you are testing. Also, if you have downloaded level2 data and you don't use it, dump that data as well and only download level1 data.

Post back your results about performance changes.

Just want to complete the Replay that I have currently loaded since it took so long to just get to the "starting line". I did not load any Level2 data.

In deleting other MR data, do you mean the data contained in Documents>NinjaTrader7>>db>data?

RJay...thanks again for the response.

Dumped the previous download and kept only the fresh data from the current request. Still issues with very long waits in-between any action. So I have to "set it and forget it"...if I need to move the time slider to another time frame I will do it when I want to step away from the screens for a while.

Still wondering if this is the same experience for anyone else.

There could be a number of items that could cause performance issues, including the amount of data your attempting to utilize. As loading a chart in NinjaTrader with a large amount of data may utilize a large amount of RAM. So please ensure your system meets or exceeds our PC Requirements.

As I said before, only accessing 3 days for one instrument.

My desktop far exceeds the minimum requirements for NT and my Internet connection is business-class high-speed cable with low ping response times.
