    Volume reporting

    can anyone recommend a volume indicator that returns results in market analyzer? specifically to show low volume days and high volume(climax) days?

        Thank you for your post.

        The volume indicators in the Market Analyzer will only give you the current volume.
        If you wish to view historical volume, you will need to use a chart and use the Volume Zones indicator.

          thx..but is there a way to show/see volume increasing/decreasing in market analyzer?

            Hello mystiq,

            You can add the VOL indicator in the Market Analyzer and it will report volume for the period type you select. The screenshot attached displays the VOL indicator which shows the volume amount based on 1 minute bars. So its resets every minute. However you can select the period type you like.

            If this is not helpful, please clarify "volume increasing/decreasing". I do not see how volume would decrease.

                Hello laredo78676,

                This can be as expected depending on your data feed and instrument you have selected. Can you please tell me what iinstrument you have selected and to what data feed provider you connect in NinjaTrader. Is there a different between the VOL bars that are loaded historically and VOL bars that are created in real-time?

                    I cannot reproduce it on my end. When I create a 1 Minute chart and apply the VOL indicator, each VOL bar is different.

                    Could it be you are applying the VOL indicator in a Volume chart? If so, it is as expected that each VOL bar is the same size.

                        template default load

                        another problem is that when i load the default template,teh screen goes blank price bar area and i have to toggle the time frames to reload it creating a second procedure to go through

                          Can you please send me your log and trace files. Go to Control Center-->Help-->Mail to Support in NinjaTrader. Put 'Attn Jason, Volume reporting' in the subject field and enable 'Log and trace files'.

                          As per the other issue, can you please right click in the chart and select Templates-->Load. Select the Default template and click Remove. Subsequently save a new chart template as default and check if the issue remains.
