Cannot revert to 7.1.1000.7 after installing .8

    Cannot revert to 7.1.1000.7 after installing .8

    - Uninstalled .8 version from Control Panel -> Uninstall program.
    - Restart computer.
    - Run the previously downloaded .7 setup application.
    - After installation, check version. It is still .8 version. Seem like that mini .7 setup application was not downloading the corresponding .7 package from the server to install.

    System: Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit)

    Thank you for your post.

    Did you download a new installer for release 7 or did you use the old Setup.exe file you used before?

    If you used an old setup file, it will update to the current release when installing. If you want to revert to a specific version, you must down the specified installer from our download page:



    When prompted please enter your license key under 'Current Users' and then click on the link to 7.0.1000.7 (Previous) to obtain the previous copy.

      Hi Matthew,

      Thanks for the info. I used the previously downloaded setup application.

      I've re-downloaded the full installation package of 7.0.1000.7 from the website.

        Was there a reason that you needed to roll-back to .7? Did .8 cause some issue for you?

          @Prov1322,

          Yes, the Historical Data Manager is not working properly and all my charts' data won't get updated. Although .7 give me occasional errClientConnectxxx which .8 supposed to resolve it, it can still load the data on the charts. BTW, I'm using NT7 with MB Trading.

            Did you ever get a chance to send in your log and trace files from yesterday as requested in the other thread specific to this topic?
