NT .8 intallation?

Hi

i have the NT 7.0.1000.7 (live)

i can see than some people got problem after installing the .8

i downloaded the .8 but it is look like to install a new time NT and not making a simple upgrade... what about my scrip, option and IB connection ? it will disappear ? do i have to save it as an export ? what about my historical ?

i read the guide procedure but it is not clear... you talk about SP1... but everybody have Windows got the SP1 !

You can install the latest version on top of your current version. Please make sure NinjaTrader is shut down when you install the new version. You can download and install NinjaTrader from the link below.

All settings and data will remain when upgrading NinjaTrader versions.

Please note that you can always create a backup file to save your settings and data. Instructions to create a backup file can be found at the following link.

NT .8 is causing problems

Hello.

I just upgraded from NT .7 to NT .8 and its causing all kinds of problems. I don't want to fix those problems now. I want to go back to NT .7. Thankfully I did a backup before I upgraded and I have the NT .7 setup file.

How do I do this?

Should I restore the backup archive on top of NT .8 or is there some way I can run the old setup file and go back to NT .7?

P.S. If I recycle NT and bring it back under 32-bit mode, it works fine. I only see all those errors under 64-bit mode.

Thanks for your post.

Please shut down NinjaTrader, then uninstall via the Windows Control Panel.

Do not remove the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 folder as this is where your settings are held.

After uninstalling, it should be possible for you to reinstall from your other install file.
