    New release does not work even on clean install.

    The latest release works OK the first time its run, but charts never load correctly on subsequent runs.

    I have two trading platforms, one for normal trading and one as backup (laptop) in case of problems - the latest release behaves the same on both.

    Main Platform: Win7 32-bit running via Parallels on an iMac.
    Backup Platform: Win7 64-bit running on HP laptop.

    I have single broker license for MB Trading.

    Further detail:

    After the first run of the latest release, when I connect to MB Trading, the charts begin their normal "loading data" routine but never seem to complete. At some point (several minutes later) I can select "Reload all historical data" but nothing ever results from this. I am left with blank charts.

    I do seem to be getting live data as all the DOM's (including Chart Trader) show live bid/ask data.

    I've already completely uninstalled the latest release and reverted to the .7 release as it still works quite well, and I don't have the time to fool around with .8 this week.

    Maybe someone else is experiencing this same problems?

    Thank you for your post.

    Please use the steps I have provided below to delete your historical data:
    • Close NinjaTrader
    • Documents
    • NinjaTrader 7
    • Open the db folder
    • Open the Cache folder and delete all files within this folder
    • Go back to the db folder
    • Open the Tick folder and delete all files within this folder
    • Repeat this procedure for the Day as well as Minute folders
    • Restart NinjaTrader
    • Connect to MB Trading

    Please let me know if the issue persists after this procedure.

      Thanks for the reply/info.

      I followed the steps but that did not help anything. At least it didn't make things worse.
      I only tried it on my laptop - I'll need to keep the previous release on my main platform for the time being.

        Hello Todd,

        Do you see any error messages in the Control Center-->Log-tab when you load data?

        How much historical data is requested by your charts? Please try the following. Shut down NinjaTrader and go to (My) Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->workspaces and transfer all .xml files except the "_Workspaces.xml" file outside the workspaces folder.

        Start NinjaTrader and check if you load the requested data in a newly created chart.

        If this works, please shut down NinjaTrader and transfer back your workspaces. Check if the charts in the workspaces now load data.

        If the issue remains, please send me your log and trace files. Go to Control Center-->Help-->Mail to Support. Put 'Attn Jason, http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...p?t=46303' in the subject field and enable 'Log and trace files'.
