Contract Roll over

I am using NT 7 in simulation mode, data from Zenfire, trading on ES 12-11. On Dec 16, 2011 ,which was the rollover date, I had a loss on ES 12-11. After few days the market moved in my favour and I now have a potential gain on the open contracts of ES 12-11 at current prices. But the data is not updated on ES 12-11. I can see latest prices on the chart of ES 03-12, but there the open positions are not updated.

How can I close the open contracts of ES 12-11 after the roll over to ES 03-12, while I am still in Dec 2011. I am assuming that ES 12-11 contracts will expire at the end of Dec 2011 and I should be able to close them with the current prices till then.

I back dated the roll over dates for ES 03-12 by Misc tab of instrument manager. Even then when I open chart for ES 03-12, but it does not show the open contracts of ES 12-11.

Requesting for a guidance.

Are we speaking of orders in the Sim101 account or in a brokerage account?

I'm not sure what you need to do to clear your position up, but the contract no longer trades, 12/16 was expiry. Rollover is loosely the Thursday before Expiration. It does not go til the end of December.

Hi Nice Person,

Would resetting the account be an option for you? This would clear the positions from these expired contracts.
