    CQG Adapter Issue

    Is this an NT or broker issue. Please advise.

    Thank you for your post.

    With the release of NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.8 we have updated to the most recent CQG API, the new API will show additional information like the message that you received.

    The message you are receiving is advising you that the ES 09-11 contract is expired:
    "The metadata for F.US.EP.U11 has an invalid ContractNumber."
    There is no error or issue, it is simply an advisory that the ES 09-11 contract has expired.

      So if I remove it from the Instrument Manager the Error Msg will not appear?

        Thank you for your response.

        Correct, if you have the instrument on a chart or an order entry window (Chart Trader, Super DOM, etc.) you will receive this message. Additionally, if there is a chart or order entry window with this instrument listed on an open workspace then you will receive this message as well.

        If you need to roll over your contract in the instrument manager please follow the instructions below to rollover the expiration date of a futures contracts.
        • From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
        • Highlight the contract you wish to rollover in the left side of the Instrument Manager window
        • Press the ">" button (the instrument will disappear from the list)
        • Press the "<" button and the instrument should re-appear with the front month expiration date

          Thanks.. Good to go. Just forgetfulness on my part to remove expired contracts form Instrument Manager.
