    FX Pro with IB Data

Can anyone explain why I got the inside bid/ask on the FX Pro window all day today but tonight I cannot seem to get this information showing in the window? I use my IB data feed for FX quotes which shows market depth and use to show the inside bid/ask until this evening? I can't find an option to add this to the FX Pro window. I am using a different computer than I was on earlier today but the build versions for NT and IB are identical. I get the correct market depth, my real time position, average entry, and P/L data but no inside bid/ask? Insight would be appreciated. Thanks...

    Update

Just logged into my other computer and I got the inside bid ask. So it has to be something with this computer? Perhaps the java needs to be updated? Any other ideas? Thanks

      Hi hothomas,

      Thanks for your post.

Which build of TWS and NinjaTrader are you using on the effected PC?

To check TWS: click Help > About Trader Workstation within the TWS software itself.

To check the NinjaTrader version, click Help > About in the Control Center.

          Hi hothomas,

Those are the recommended versions of both NinjaTrader and TWS. Assuming you still have access to both PC's, please check the Properties of the two windows to see if you notice any differences.

Checked all the settings and they are all the same. There something in the "help" about if your FX provider supports sub pip display you must enable sub pip support via the Misc tab but there is no option for this under this tab. I think it means the Data tab. That being said all my settings are the same anyway so what does that matter? I've uninstalled and reinstalled NT on the affected computer. Its definitely not a data issue because the FX Pro window loads with the inside bid/ask on the unaffected computer with no data stream. However, this information does not load in the affected computer. Both systems are 64 bit Windows based with the unaffected system running Vista and the affected system running Windows 7. I installed a 64 bit java in the affected computer just in case but I didn't think this would matter and it didn't. I have no answers for this one. Any other ideas?

                Hello,

Do you see this information if you go to File--> New--> Level II?

Is the level II book in FX Pro window completely empty (white space), or does it not show up?

If you right click in the lower half of the FX Pro window, do you have 'Show Level II' checked?

                  1. The inside bid/ask is displayed in a new level II window when I open it through the file menu.
                  2. The level 2 data is currently streaming in the FX Pro window so its open.
                  3. Thus Level II data is checked and I have confirmed this.

However still no inside bid/ask below the level II window. I can see the up (green)/ down (red) arrow changing beside the 'bid' button on the FX Pro window indicating last tick up or down. Its as if the inside bid/ask is hidden. I cant expand the window with my mouse to reveal anything. The only pane I can expand or contract is the level II/grid windows.

                  Thanks

                      Hello,

Yes, if you can provide a screen shot that would help.

Can you please clarify what resolution this PC monitor is?

Thanks - if you uncheck 'Show Level II' does this information show up?
