How to plot adv/dec number on the chart?

How to plot adv/dec number on the chart?
    Do you need additional connection?

Depends on your data provider if you have it. TDA uses $ISSU .. you'd have to chart the bid & ask to get adv&dec

Check out the link in this first post for information on what your provider provides:

      What about thinkorswim?

I dont see that list has it.

And how do I know which one has Adv/Dec?

What do you mean bid/ask to get Avd/Dec?

ToS isn't TDA still, or however you want to look at it.

You'll need an orange or green account ( I forget which, there's another thread on that, and something about new ToS/TDA users can't get switched over??).

You'll also need a multibroker NT license.

I just logged into my iStockMgr (now TD Ameritrade Mobile 1 or something on android/apple markets).. it looks like the decline is sent in the LOW variable and the advance is in the HIGH variable.

I don't think these can be plotted in ninjatrader, unless you created some sort of indicator to plot the values??

I can pay more attention tomorrow to what variables it is stored in.

          Hello MoreYummy,

          Thank you for your note.

As sledge stated, this depends on your connection.

Can you tell me the following:

          - What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About, this will look like 7.0.1000.x

          - Who are you connected to? This is displayed by green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.

              MoreYummy,

              Thank you for the update.

Mirus/Zen-Fire will only provide data to Futures instruments, there for in order to view market metrics such as the ADV/DEC, TICK or TRIN, you would need to subscribe to another data feed who supports Index data such as Kinetick.

Understanding the data provided by your connectivity provider - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/helpGuides/nt7/historical_data.htm

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

So those with " I " in that list have market metrics?

                  MoreYummy,

The connections that have the 'I' have Index data, in most cases this equates to different types of Market Metrics, however this can differ between each connection.

                        Hi MoreYummy,

Unfortunately, the software is currently not able to interface with the data which TOS provides.
