I have a script completed from a programmer. When I attempt to change the data series entry from 1 minute to 30 minutes it won't allow me to. How do I fix this? Second part of the question is whether the 1 minute represents frequency as do the charts in Quotetracker.Last edited by cdnPATRIOT; 01-09-2012, 07:12 PM.Tags: None

Yes, the script would the be run on a 1 minute data series, which is the frequency in which bars are seen.
If you can't change it, then it would be best to contact the developer directly to ask if this has been hardcoded to run only on one chart / series for example.BertrandNinjaTrader Customer Service

I've had problems using my programmed strategy and it appears to be basing technical indicators such as MACD and Stochastics on 1 minute frequency rather than 30 minutes.
My programer recommended I do the following:
1. Open a new chart.
2. Set the chart time period to 30 minutes.
3. Insert the strategy on the chart by right clicking the chart, etc.
I am wondering if the following would work:
1. open strategy tab.
2. new strategy
3. select one minute for data series and then set value to 30 minutes.
Are both the same?

If strategies started in the strategies tab aren't visualized on the chart will that cause issues with the strategy executing?
