DAX Shares not available

How can I get the Value of DAX Shares?

For Eample Beiersdorf, Fresenius, MAN, BMW etc.

If I put in FRE.DE or FRE.F or only FRE there is no historical data to get only an error.

Thank you for that clarification.

With Kinetick you can get futures data from international exchanges, such as the Eurex where the DAX futures contract trades.

The component stock symbols would not be available as international equities data is not available presently with Kinetick. We do have plans to add additional exchanges over time.

I have noted your request and hopefully Kinetick will be able to get the exchanges added in the future.


A feed such as Yahoo may work for end of day daily data of these symbols and the following link will take you to a page that details the steps required for creating a connection to Yahoo finance.

i have installed Yahoo. Now I put FRE.DE in the Instrument Manager.
As I want download it with Historical Data he put out an Error called "You need to select an Instrument.

I can see FRE.DE in the Download TAB but seems to be not right.

What should I do now?

Hi DabaWalla,

To view these symbols you will want to add them to the NinjaTrader database. NinjaTrader comes pre-loaded with the most commonly traded instruments however, you may find the need to add an additional instrument. Please follow the instructions below to add an instrument in the Instrument Manager.

• From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
• Press the "New" button
• *Enter in instrument specific information and select the appropriate exchange (add Default exchange for equities in addition to the actual exchange).
• Fill in any relevant information under the "Misc" tab such as symbol mapping for your target connectivity provider
• Press the "OK" button

For each of these items that would need to be included I have provided a screenshot of the setup for the FRE.DE for Yahoo. Please note that this symbol with Yahoo will only work with the Daily historical data.


When prompted you may need to input the XETRA exchange in addition to the showing Default exchange.

I've added BMW with BMW.DE to my instrument list, and have connected to Google and IB, and neither aren't working.

I still get an error.

You will need to add the symbol which Interactive Brokers uses for this product to the Symbol Map field for Interactive Brokers.

Tried SWB, XETRA

How can be that hard to add BMW to NT? It's one of the most popular European bluechips..and IB is the most popular broker.

Would really appreciate some specific input.

p.s. How can I add a stock exchange that is missing from the NT list?

you have to use for xetra stocks for example "BMW|IBIS" for Interactive Brokers Mapping
