    TWS forced connection to close

    Hello, I am a long time NT user. I did reinstall NT on different computer and when trying to login into TWS, NinjaTrader logs in for about 20 seconds, I get data from IB (charts are updated) but after that time I get message that “TWS forced connection to close” and the connection is closed.
    Here are some details:
    I use TWS build 921.6 (It is the same with the latest build I tried too).
    I am using NT 7.0.1000.8 (Multi-Broker Live)
    I have two accounts with InteractiveBroker (under one username). I see both accounts in Ninja (before the connections is closed). In IB TWS I see that Ninja is trying to switch accounts (the selected account under API tab is chanding) and then the connection is closed.
    Both Ninja and TWS installation are new, no open trades etc.
    When I try to log into TWS paper account it all works correctly (TWS doesn’t close the connection). I do have both paper / live accounts setup the same way (API setting). Thus the only difference is that under live account I have 2 accounts while under paper account there is only one account.
    I am including screenshot from NinjaTrader Log – this I get for one connection into live IB.
    Any hint where can be a problem?

      Hello,

      I am experiencing the same (or very similar) problem.

      When I connect to my IB Advisor account everything looks good for 10~20 seconds, then the a NT message box pops up stating "TWS forced your connection to close."

      I can connect to my IB demo account and place a trade there
      TWS ver: 921.5
      NT ver: 7.0.1000.8

        Mike, are you using any NT7R8 custom build for FF / FA account holders here?

          Yes.

          I use a slightly tweaked build from Nirvana...which I have been doing for years. (Technically it is not specific to / tailored for FF/FA)

          I was successfully able to use everything last week (although I did not actually place any trades), and I have not changed anything in the interim.

            Ok Mike, but FF / FA account holders there would also be a custom build for NT7 required that would be compatible with the more recent TWS version. If you could send me a note to support at ninjatrader dot com I would be glad to forward it to you.

              I have the same problem with my broker account. My individual account works fine. Can I do something or ninja don't work with such accounts?

                gp18089, what error are you exactly getting please? Is this on our latest supported NT7 release in combination with TWS 927.7? If you could contact me via Help >> Mail to Support so I could review your diagnostic trace / log files that would be great.

                  Exactly this one. But I have not an IB Advisor account. The problem persists at my company's IB Broker account but works fine at my individual account.

                  TWS ver: 930.3
                  NT ver: 7.0.1000.7

                    The issue is likely tied to the version employed in your setup now - please ensure to use NT7 R10 at minium with IB TWS 927.7

                    For NT, you can upgrade from here - http://www.ninjatrader.com/download-registration.php
