TICK INDEX chart shows no movement

    TICK INDEX chart shows no movement

    My data feed is CQG.

    In the NT Instrument Manager is an "instrument" simply named TICK, an Index, described as "TICK INDEX".

    Now, when I open a chart with this TICK I get bars alright but the price indicated does not move. It is a stuck picture. I close the chart and create a new chart with TICK. Obviously the price moved between me closing the first chart and.opening the new chart because now the next bar began - but it is still stuck and does not move.

    What do I need to change so that it gives me an actual flow/movement in the chart all the time?

    Hello sandman,

    Thank you for writing in.

    Let me know the following:
    • Do you see live price changing in the orders tab of the Control Center for ^TICK? (last)
    • Do you see any errors in the Log tab of the Control Center? Similiar to:

      CQG.Adapter.SubscribeMarketDataResolve: DJTIC is not enabled for realtime quotes and trading.

      The answer is No to both questions.
      Under the Orders tab it says n/a and under the Logtab it does not show anything at all concerning TICK..

        Hello sandman,

        Thank you for the information.

        I apologize, the error will not say "TICK" it will say "DJTIC" and looks like the error in the screenshot I have attached.

        If you can locate this error it will indicate that your CQG account is not enabled for real time Index data. You will need to contact your broker to change this on your CQG account.

        Please let me know if I can provide any further assistance.
