    Why don't your sw guys fix your charts?

    I can see that many people have problems with their charts opening blank.

    I have the same problem with the latest version SW 7.0.1000.8 and although I followed the fixes in other threads the problem remains.

    I have a green kineticks light,
    I've read through other threads and tried selecting the 24/7 session template
    reseting the database in the options doesn't help either,
    I've disconnected and reconnected and did the same again after restarting Ninja trader
    Very frustrating....

    Thank you for your post.

    Can you please answer my questions below which will help me determine the issue:

    1.) Do you have a paid Kinetick subscription or are you connecting to the free end of day connection?

    2.) What instrument are you trying to load?

    3.) What type of chart are you trying to load? (5 min, daily, 100 tick, etc.)

    4.) Do you see any errors in the Log tab of the NinjaTrader Control Center after trying to load the chart?

      Sorry about the title, I was very frustrated.
      Why don't you write the SW so that it defaults to a working page with a working chart?

      Anyway, I'm using the kinetic end of day data
      default chart settings, ie 1 min
      I tried the first instrument on the list ES 03 12 plus others from the list
      and I also tried $EURUSD

      On the left hand side there is a green indicator showing Kinetic connected
      I'm attaching a copy of the error log and a picture showing the template options.
      As you can see there are no template options to pick.

        Hello Bill,

        Thank you for your reply.

        The issue is you are connecting to End of Day data and trying to bring up a 1 minute chart. End of Day data means that only the Open, High, Low , Close of the entire day is provided. There is no intra-day data such as tick or minute data.

        Try changing to a 1 day, or 1 week chart (anything higher than 1 day works) and you should see a complete chart.

        If you need intra-day data, I suggestion connecting to one of our supported broker or data partners.
        You can view our preferred broker partners at this link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/partners#Brokers

        Our preferred data provider is Kinetick and you can get historical tick, minute and end of day data with the Basic package. You also get a delayed streaming feed you can place simulated trades on. More information is available at www.kinetick.com.

            Esignal

            Hi RJ

            Now I can connect to kinetick end of day data
            but when I try to connect to esignal it tells me: Login failed: unable to connect to level 2 host.

            I have emailed esignal and they said to me that there are no settings in my profile or in my esignal software which could be stopping the connection and all required settings are in Ninjatrader.

            In Ninjatrader I have created a new connection and entered my esignal username and password. Is there anything else I have to do?
            I'm attaching a screenshot with the connection settings
