range bar color still wrong

    range bar color still wrong

    I reported this many months/NT versions ago
    range bars are still not the correct color
    why not use this logic (which I use to correct bug)
    if close > open bar is green
    if close < open bar is red
    for range bars, close never = open

    Hello ATI user,

    Did you perhaps receive an ID# as per this report?

    I will forward your suggestion to support the logic you describe by default as per range bars to development.

      from months/years ago? my record keeping is not that good

      even worse here, 5 range bar chart for ES...very fast market

        Can you please right click in the chart and select 'Reload All Historical Data' and check if the incomplete bars persist.

        If so, please tell me to what connectivity provider you connect in NinjaTrader.

        Am I correct you have our latest version installed (7.0.1000.8)?

            Hello ATI user,

            Am I correct this is historical data from the ES 12-11? Unfortunately I cannot load such historical tick data on my end to test since historical tick data that far back is not available.

            Were you able to reload historical data?

            Do you see a difference if you create a new chart?

                Can you please send me your Config.xml file so I can test your Kinetick connection on my end. You can find this file at (My) Documents-->NinjaTrader 7. Please attach it in your email which you can send to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com. Please put 'Attn Jason, range bar color still wrong' in the subject header.

                Please include what time zone your PC clock uses as well.

                        Hello ATI user,

                        New downloaded data should build proper range bars. I am not sure why it does not work on your end.

                        Does it make a difference if you create a new chart and you run the Market Replay again. Let it start before the incomplete bars occur and let the Market replay connection run. Check if the incomplete bars are build or not.

                          no difference...this seems related to the extremely fast market at 17:13 ..i.e. all these bars are built in the same second...however they should still be complete of course

                              I tested it once more. I ran the entire day of 11/7/2011 as per the ES 12-11 on 500X speed. However it did not build any incomplete bars.

                              Can you please create a new workspace that consist only of an ES 12-11 chart. Make sure all other workspaces are closed. Run the Market Replay connection once more and check if the incomplete bars persist.
