Individual Price Alerts

Since it has been 2 years since the last post I thought it would be worth re-asking.

Is there any way to activate individual instrument price alerts the way these previous posters have asked?

You will need to open multiple Market Analyzers to assign an alert to a specific instruments. Currently the alerts are set for the column.

I can forward the suggestion to our development team for consideration in a future release of NinjaTrader.

Thank you for the question.

This is still the case, the Market Analyzer is meant to work as it does or alert for an entire column as this is a watch list tool for multiple instruments.

For individual alerts, Charts would be a more acceptable solution for a single instrument that needs an alert.

I should really know this but how do I put an alert on a chart?
I've been agonizing over this for quite a while.

Hello,

One way would be to use the PriceAlert indicator.

This would allow you to type in a number in the Indicators properties or drag the line where you would like on the chart. Once the price crosses the line it would alert you. This can be applied to a Chart using a DataSeries as its InputSeries or another indicator as well.
