    IB Sim

    Hi should I be able to connect to my IB sim account? I have gone through all the adding account and followed the settings you advise and when i connect to IB ninja loads up tws but does not pull any data...

    Thanks for your post.

    So that I may further assist you please answer the following.

    1) What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About

    2) What version of Traders Workstation is installed? To verify log into Traders Workstation and under Help go to About Traders Workstation. Scroll down and look for Build.

    3) What instrument have you selected?

    4) (For a chart) what interval is selected?

    5) Is there an error message listed in the Log tab of the Control Center?

      Ninja: 7.0.1000.9
      TWS: build 923.8a
      ES 03-12 (I also tried AAPL)
      60 minutes
      log messages - I don't understand why it would give me these as I can see the ES 03-12 chart/data in TWS (delayed though)

        Hello,

        Thanks for your reply.

        The current version of Traders Workstation supported is 921.
        Please uninstall the current version and install Traders Workstation 921.

        Below I have provided a direct link to Traders Workstation 921.


        Once installed please ensure your settings match the second screen shot in our Interactive Brokers Connection Guide which I have provided a link to below.

          Hi, I now have tws 921.5 installed and tws and ninja set up according to those instructions and i still dont get the data into ninja despite seeing it in tws. the instruments are es 03-12 and aapl. I am using an IB sim account, does that matter?
          these are the log tab entries:
          Requested market data is not subscribed.Error&BEST/STK/Top 354
          Requested market data is not subscribed.Error&GLOBEX/FUT/Top 354
          Time to flatten=00:00:00, Flatten all=Disabled
          IB Sim: Primary connection=Connected, Price feed=Connected

              I've got exactly the same issue. I've got the latest Ninja version installed, and the indicated TWS version as well. N.B. since I'm using a white label IA from todays, I already stepped through the steps indicated here (http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...er+Workstation) in order to prevent a constant reboot of TWS.

              Your help is appreciated.

                So I may be of further assistance, please send an email to support[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com. Please include a reference to this forum post and your most current log and trace files.

                You will find the log file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

                The log file will be named "log.20120708.txt"
                You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

                The trace file will be named "trace.20120708.txt".
