something wrong with chart

Hi,

I am using Interactive Brokers as data feed while trading Emini S&P (ES).

However, every 1 min, the bar will be updated at least 6 points below the real price, creating a giant down bar. This should not be so. Please see attachment.

Is there anyway I can resolve this?

Thanks for the post. What contract month are you viewing in NinjaTrader? What is your merge policy set under Tools > Options > Data tab.

Do you get same or different values when you view the same contract month through TraderWorkStation program?

I typed ES as a default search into ninjatrader. It says ES 06-12.

Merge policy is "mergedbackadjusted".

I have no problem with TraderWorkStation.

You're not viewing data for the 06-12 contract if you have NT set to merge. You're viewing the the "current" ES as defined in your merge definitions. The current ES is 03-12 until 3/8/2012.

If you want to view ES 06-12 ahead of the scheduled rollover, would recommend you either switch merge policy to "DoNotmerge" or change the rollover date defined for ES. This is done under Tools > instrument Manager. Click Misc then scroll to the bottom to see where contract months are defined.
