hotkeys and limit orders

hey there guys and gals

i am looking into having a hotkeys coded up to place limit orders for me a set number of ticks away from price, only problem we can not find anything on the subject. if you could either point us in the right direction to finding stuff info, or explain what we need to access.

the reason for this is that trades placed outside(one tick) of the ask and bid can be places at a credit and not a debt. meaning instead of the trade commission being -5 round trip pre contract it would be +5. and i like that.

jupiejupe, you can set up order hotkeys including custom orders under Tools > Hotkey Manager -

Is there a way to create a limit order at the mouse cursor via a hotkey?

My guess is no. I tried to use the hot key editor and create a custom limit order and couldn't get it to actually do anything. It acted as if I didn't create any hot key at all.

Thank you for the quick reply. The reason I bring this up is due to the fast markets we are seeing. Right-clicking and selecting a limit order seems quick, but it's not fast enough recently! ;]

Do you know if this will be feasible in NT8? Thanks again.
