    connection died and profit disappeared

    Hi,

    We had trades using a strategy on 3 instruments.

    On realized we had negative on 1 instrument and positive on the other 2.


    On unrealized we had all positive around a thousand on each.

    When we lost the connection it didn't automatically reconnect and it disabled all. We connected manually and apparently lost all data.

    We are using live data in simulated trading.

    Where are our trades now?

    Please see the attached log picture.

    Thanks for the note.

    When looking at your log the Instrument updates which are your positions are the same before the disconnect and after the disconnect.

    It seems the positions are fine when you mean lose data what specifically is gone?

    Who is your data feed provider?

      Thanks for the reply.

      When we look at the summary for today the unrealized profit is missing. There was showing before the disconnect.

      Attached is the after picture of one of the instruments affected.

        When you say unrealized PnL do you mean the unrealized PnL in the strategies tab?

          Hi. I'm replying on behalf of Mal. The unrealized profit disappeared from the strategies tab and the summary.

          When the connection is lost is there a graceful exit?
          Is simulation different than live trading?
          Note: this was run in simulation on a live data feed.

            Hello,

            Thanks for that information.

            In this case this is expected as this will only display when the strategy has been active. You have a setting to choose how you want to handle connection loss handling with strategies.

            Please see this section of the help guide for more information on this and let me know if you have any questions after reviewing the On Connection Loss section of our help guide below.
