Crash with CQG Demo

Dear support,

I have been trying to log on to my CQG demo account with AMP FUTURES on ninjatrader 7.0.1000.9

When I connect my demo account, ninja closes
I can connect to kinetick without problem

I closed my firewal but it's the same

I uninstalled and reinstalled ninja but no change

You'll find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
The file I need would be named 'trace.20120401.txt'.

Trace folder in Ninja Trader 7

Good day,

Could anyone explain to me what is exactly the "trace" folder in Ninja Trader.
I am using CQG as data feed and it seems the folder become quite large after only a few weeks of having 6 to 8 instruments running 5 days per week.
Can the folder (files in it) be deleted occasionally to lighten it...????.....

Hi nicosxm,

This folder will trace program internals. It's mainly used by NT support to identify reasons for crashes and your specific configuration. You can safely delete the older files (they're labeled in YYYYMMDD) if you don't anticipate contacting support about those days. Support uses these files frequently so don't delete unless you are sure you won't need them.

Closing single contract on multiple open contract in the same instrument

Good Day,

Could anyone give information on how to close a single contract when I have multiple contracts open with the same instrument.
Example : I have 3 contract open at the same price on the ZB instrument and I decide to close one contract after a number of points gained and let the remaining 2 contracts run
For a while ......... How can I do this manuly ....?????....

Hello nicosxm,

You would submit an order with a quantity of 1 in the opposite direction. So if you are Long 3 contacts, please submit a sell order for 1 contract. You will be left in a Long position for 2 contracts.
