Charting problems with imported historical data

Hi

I imported some historical data for the futures contract of KC, and tried to plot the daily bars, see the attached image. The chart seems to be missing bars from 8/10/2011 to 9/19/2011 but the historical data manager -> Edit tab shows there are data for this period.

Also on the left of the image, the data box shows the values for 8/4/2011, is different from the data in the edit tab on the right hand side the data box, which is highlighted for 8/4/2011.

can anyone shed some light as to what could be wrong?

Hello redartajnin,

Likely the KC instrument has 'Merge policy' enabled. The KC 12-11 expiry month uses a rollover date of 9/20/2011. Any data loaded before this date, is loaded from the KC 09-11 expiry.

Please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instrument Manager, highlight the KC instrument and click Edit. Set 'Merge policy' to DoNotMerge and click OK. Restart NinjaTrader.

Create a new KC 12-11 chart and it will load all historical data you imported as per the KC 12-11.
