No data for silver, gold and oil

Sir,

As I go to the instrument manager the type column only shows "any" and "currency". Stocks future ... don't show up

I did e resetDB (I had to disconnect to do that). Beautiful, everything shows up. reconnecting I'm find myself again with only "any" and "currency"


I added GC 06-12, CL 06-12 and QI 05-12 at some stage (when disconnected I think). I have nice charts (no problem) on currencies. But I'm unable to get any data for the 3 instruments mentionned above. I'm a newbie. I looked up in a the forum to get an answer but...... didn't find a solution

Forex.com GAIN Capital. as a newbie, and without going into details, I ended up opening three accounts (2 through Ninja trader "undirect") and 1 direct. no of those are demos accounts. in the connection wizard I entered" live" on one of my "undirect" (ninjatrader). When I disconnect, I can see in the "type" column "any" "currencies" "stock" "futures" "index". Once connected all I see is "any" and currencies. As I try to see instrument, all I see in the list are currencies. list is empty when I search "CL" "CG" or "QI". but these last 3 instrument do appear in the list when I'm disconnected.

Unfortunately Gain only provides data for forex and not for stocks or futures. Thus when you connect to your Gain account NinjaTrader only shows you the forex instruments in the Instrument Manager.

Please refer to the section "Understanding the data provided by your connectivity provider from the below link to know which connectivity provider provides data for which instruments.

You can also subscribe to Kinetick, the preferred data feed provider of NinjaTrader to see charts for stocks and futures.

Still one question though . on one workspace I have 10 charts. I did set 15 days of datas for all and everything is ok BUT for the NZDJPY who always show th last candel. should I quit ninja and restart it, that instrument shows the last candle "only". An answer to that would be very nice of you

I have tried that "reload...." a few time before you actually told me to do so. It's even worse, it cleans up the chart and i'm back with one candle

To assist you further may I know what data server you are using to download historical data. You can get this information from your account connection setup.

• In Control Center menu bar goto Tools>Account Connections...
• In the Account Connections dialog select your Gain account and click on the Change button.
• In the Connection Options dialog click on the Next button and find the information

Thanks for the clarification.
NinjaTrader's server may not record data all the instruments. Please try using Gain's server and see if you can pull data for NZDJPY.

switching to GAIN servers I got no data "at all". But I still have a lot to study in front of me. I can go ahead without that NZDJPY pair
