    IQFeed reloading historical data

I apologize for the basic question, but I haven't used NT for charts in the last 6-8 months.

I use IQFeed, and am connected to it first. Under Options->Data, I have "Get data from server (if available)" selected, and do not have "Save chart data as historical" enabled. My data is coming in just fine in real time, but when I do a "reload all historical data" on my daily chart, or when I try to create a new chart that is tick-based, it is blank and no data shows up. What are my steps here to fix this? I have some indicators running which cannot be stopped during the day today (such as with a restarting of the data feed, restarting of the program, etc.), so please bear this in mind.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

Do you see an "F" in the upper right hand corner of your chart? If so please left mouse click on the "F" to bring your chart back to Auto Scale.

If the issue persists please answer the following questions so I may further assist:
    • What version of NinjaTrader do you currently have installed which can be found under Help-->About.
    • Are there any error messages in the Log tab of the Control Center?
    • When you right mouse click within your chart are you able to Reload historical data or is the option grayed out?
    • What instrument and expiry month are you attempting to load?
Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

      Thanks Christopher.

      It's not the chart scaling.

Reload historical data is available, and as stated, when I did this, my daily bars all disappeared -- they were displaying before, but now they are gone. This is for the ES 06-12 contract. There are no messages or errors in the log.

Please use the steps I have provided below to delete your historical data:
        • Close NinjaTrader
        • Documents
        • NinjaTrader 7
        • Open the db folder
        • Open the Cache folder and delete all files within this folder
        • Go back to the db folder
        • Open the Tick folder and delete all files within this folder
        • Repeat this procedure for the Day as well as Minute folders
        • Restart NinjaTrader
        • Open a new chart with no template applied

Glad to hear that did the trick.
