    Guest Internet Connection...unable to connect?

Hi.....I am trying to connect NinjaTrader 6.5 beta to a guest network through the internet at work and it fails to login. It works fine at home or when I rome onto someone elses wireless internet. It just gets rejected on the wireless guest network. Just wondering if it is my own settings on the vista laptop...or is it the guest network settings that i cant control. Yahoo messenger will not log on either....but Skype will. Any help in configuring my laptop or ninjatrader to be able to log into the guest network?

    Thanks,
    Joules

Make sure the network firewalls let NinjaTrader access the internet.

          Login...ok

          Josh:

I can login from home using the same program..or when I find an unsecured wireless in the neighborhood. Its just this guest network at work that seems to block me out. Not sure if in my security settings or in the guest network settings?

            Hi Joules,

Unfortunately we are not network connectivity experts and cannot advise you in this regard. You can try contacting the network administrator to see why this is happening. It is most likely a firewall issue that must be looked at by the admin.

Joules, I dunno if you ever got the issue at your work taken care of, but I can tell you with some amount of certainty that you are running into a firewall issue.

You'll find thats true the larger the company is, or the larger its internet connection. At my work, we have a guest network, and we also try to lock it down.
