no data flowing through the market replay connection

    Hi,

as in the attached picture, you see that I have downloaded ES 06-12 data from historical data manager for 5/11/2012.

Then I connected to market replay connection, and replays 05/11/2012.

But the chart that I opened does not move at all! also the control panel does not show bid/ask data either like when I connect to a real connection. Could you advise what is going wrong?

    Thank you!

You can't play HISTORICAL data in market replay, you can only play REPLAY data in market replay. You can get replay data by either recording it yourself, or connect to any connection other than the market replay connection itself, and go to File > Utilities > Download replay data.

      Hello Leontancfa,

      Thank you for your post.

You cannot replay historical data as you would Market Replay data (which can be downloaded or recorded), for additional information on Market Replay please visit the following link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...ket_replay.htm

To enable the Market Replay recorder please go to Tools > Options > Data > select the Record for Market Replay option.

To download Market Replay data please go to File > Utilities > Download Replay Data.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

          Hello,

I would recommend that you connect to your historical data provider and load a chart which displays data from the period which you will be replaying. After this data has been loaded it will be used to backfill charts in Market Replay.

              Hello,

You would connect through the File > Connect menu just as if you were going to look at real-time data.
