Migrating NT to new PC

I want to transfer my NT install to a new PC. I do not see anything upon a search, that tells how to do it. It may be as simple as copying the NT folder to new PC. However, before I just dive in and maybe mess something up, I would like to get some input on how to do this. Thank you.

First you will need to download NinjaTrader onto the other PC form the following link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/download-registration.php

Restore worked, but no Workspace there

I followed these instructions and was able to dn.load NT, plus restore the backup from other PC. However, upon opening new one, no Workspace there. Or so it seems. I tried to open the 'Untitled1' which is what it was called in the previous install but nothing happens. How can I check to see if it's there?

Also, how do I copy it from other PC and install on new one if necessary?

It seems the backup file was created with an empty Untitled1 workspace. If the workspace name is reflected in the upper left corner of the Control Center, that workspace is opened on your monitor(s).

You can find workspaces at the following location:

C:\-->Users-->*Windows user account*-->Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->workspaces

You can transfer .xml files between computers while NinjaTrader is closed.

This is way too hard and does not work

I pasted this link when in the C drive, but got error. Went to NT folder but it is inaccessible for anything. (on Sierra Charts you go to the folder, click, and everything you want to access or copy is all there).

You are going to have to diagnose the link issue or figure a simpler way to do, what should be a simple task.

Please take the following steps.

• Close NinjaTrader on your Old PC
• Start Menu --> Documents --> NinjaTrader 7 --> Workspaces
• Select all files that are listed in the Workspaces folder
• Copy them to a USB drive or other method of transferring to your New PC
• Paste the files in the Documents --> NinjaTrader 7 --> Workspaces folder of the New PC
• Overwrite any files if prompted

Once the files have been moved to your New PC, open NinjaTrader.

If the workspace does not initially load when you start NinjaTrader go to File -> Workspaces -> Open and select the Workspace name
