Fail to Connect to IB - "ERROR: IB: Timeout on waiting for TWS(LoginFailed)"

Hi can anyone please help me out on this connection issue.

I've followed the online instructions configuring both applications.
But when I tried to connect to TWS, NinjaTrader starts TWS and
auto-fills in U/P, TWS starts and connected while NinjaTrader still
shows "connecting to IB...". After 10 seconds TWS shuts off and starts
up again and shuts off again for 3 times until I got the Error:
"ERROR: IB: Timeout on waiting for TWS(LoginFailed)" from NinjaTrader.

TWS version: Build 925, Trader WorkStation 4.0
NinjaTrader version: 7.0.1000.9

Is it because of wrong versions and what version should I use?

The same connection problem with IB

Hi, I have had the exactly same connection problem with IB that has been persistent for about a month. Can you extend the same solution to me?

What version of TWS are you using? You can check under TWS -> Help -> About -> Scroll to the Build #

same issue

I have tws up and running using the IB setup guide, and when ninja trader attempts to connect it prompts again for the TWS username and password. It then complains that tws is already up and running. If I don't have TWS running already, it starts up tws but the timeout issue occurs. How do I get it to just use the the API instead of it trying to open up a tws client or connect to the api properly?

any idea which tws/ninja versions works? I have (latest builds of both):

You are using the current version of NinjaTrader. With the current version of NinjaTrader, it is critical that you use TWS version 921.5. Please uninstall your existing version via the Windows Control Panel, and then install 921.5 via the following link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/ninjatrad...tall_921_5.exe
