    Data won't display in new chart without Ninja restart

    I'm running into a problem lately where opening a new chart results in a blank chart. Hitting F5 to reload does nothing. I'm using KineTick for data. If I save the workspace & exit Ninja, after restarting, the data is displayed in the chart even without connecting to KineTick. There's nothing in the log when this happens.

    I have about 700MB of free ram available & lots of diskspace.

    After starting Ninja I usually have about 10 charts open in 2 or 3 workspaces. I can open 2-3 more charts prior to getting new charts opening blank. (Although right now it seems I can open as many charts as I want without incident.)

    I very recently cleared out all the data in C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db, but that didn't help.

    Any ideas?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

    Please create a new workspace by going to the Control Center-->File-->Workspaces-->New Workspace

    Within the new workspace please open a new chart with no template or indicators applied and let me know if the issue persists within your chart window.

        Please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with "ATTN: Chris J" in the subject line.

        In the message, please include the following:
        1.) A link to this forum thread.
        2.) Your most current trace and log files.

        You will find the file here: My Documents > NinjaTrader 7-> Trace > trace.YYYYMMDD.txt

        Log file will be located by going to Documents->NinjaTrader 7->Log->log.YYYYMMDD.txt

            Hi Al,

            Yes, if you're having chart issues it would be best to email us at support 'at' ninjatrader 'dot' com. Please let us know the following details and your log / trace files are always useful as well:
            • What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About
            • What is your NinjaTrader license Key? You can check under Help -> License Key
            • Who are you connected to? This is displayed by green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.
            • Who is your broker?
            • What instrument have you selected?
            • (For a chart) what interval is selected?
            • Is there an error message listed in the Log tab of the Control Center?
