nt and ib chart not updating

I just opened an IB account and have NT connected through TWS. It seems to work as I get account info and the latest bid/sell ask for a stock. But when I open a chart in NT, the chart does not update - it just displays an old price.

How do I get the charts to update in real time ? If I open chart trader, the bid/ask price is updated in that section but the chart does not update.

Hello,

Can you please clarify what interval you have loaded in the chart? (minute, tick, daily)

Does the price update to the current price if you right click on the chart and select 'reload all historical data'?

What session template do you have loaded on the chart?

To retrieve 24/7 data on a chart, please follow the directions below.

• Right click in your chart and select Data Series.
  
• In the Data Series menu, set the "Session Template" property to "Default 24/7", then click OK.

I am using daily bars but an IB rep just refreshed by permissions and now it is working. No idea what that means but whatever..(it is a new account though).
