IAB now offers CFD´s for german stocks

Hello NT-Team,

IAB now offers CFD´s for german stocks.

Is it possible to trade them live via charttrader?
If not, are you going to implement this? When?

Hello,

As long as you have a subscription through IB, you should be able to be add and map these instruments from NinjaTrader to TWS.

NinjaTrader comes pre-loaded with the most commonly traded instruments however, you may find the need to add an additional instrument. Please follow the instructions below to add an instrument in the Instrument Manager.

From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
Press the "New" button

• Enter in instrument specific information and select the appropriate exchange (add Default exchange for equities in addition to the actual exchange)
• Fill in any relevant information under the "Misc" tab such as symbol mapping for your target connectivity provider
• Press the "OK" button
• If you wish to add an equity, this can be accomplished without following the steps above. Just open a chart (for example) and start typing in the symbol and a new instrument is automatically created.

The instrument is now added to the master instrument list. Please follow the instructions below if you want to add this instrument to an instrument list.

• Select the instrument list you wish to add the instrument to via the "Instrument lists" drop down list in the upper left hand corner
• Select the exchange (Default recommend for equities) as this will route orders to your broker smart routing system
• Select the appropriate expiration date if this is a futures instrument
• Press the "<" button to add the instrument to the list
• You are now complete and can press the "OK" button.

IAB uses IBCFD for the exchange.

I think NT has to create a new exchange button.

Do you know an other way to create an cfd chart ?

here i believe we have the same problem as with the XAUUSD symbol with Interactive Brokers....the problem is the contract type......not with the exchange...IBDE30 is CFD type of contract based on German DAX index an XAUUSD is a Commodity type of contract (spot gold) both types are not supported in Ninza....exchange is Smart in both cases which already exists in Ninza.

CFD's are not supported for trading at this time, but you might be able to get data for them.

Generally you should be able to get data for many instruments in NinjaTrader if you create a new Instrument and then map to the symbol that IB uses.

I don't have any expected time frame for CFD support to be implemented at this time, however I have added your vote to our suggestion tracking system to this end.

IB CFDs need the Exchange LSE (marketdata abo), not IBCFD.
Datafeed is the Underlying, the Future e.g.

NT doas not support CFDs, you need other trading software, who can handle this.

CFD's will only be supported with FXCM in NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.12.

CFD's will be supported globally in our next major release - NinjaTrader 8.
