Hello ScottieDog,
I recommend creating a Backup Archive and restoring said Archive on your new PC.
To do so:
1. Disconnect from all connectivity providers (if connected) and from within the Control Center window select the File menu. Then select the menu Utilities and the menu item Backup...
2. The "Backup NinjaTrader" dialog window will appear
3. Select the items you wish to back up
4. Press the "Run Backup" button
You then may transfer the backup file to the new computer by email (depending on the file size), burn to disc, or save to an external hard drive or thumb drive.
You can reinstall NinjaTrader by using the following link.
Under Current User paste your license key
You can locate your license key under Help> License key
Select Download NinjaTrader
Download Version 7.0.1000.10 (Current)
Complete the following steps to restore a Backup Archive on your new PC.
1. From within the Control Center window select the File menu. Then select the menu Utilities and the Restore... menu item
2. Select the backup archive to restore from the "Restore" file dialog window
3. Press the "Open" button
You may need to contact the vendor for custom indicators you have purchased.
Below I have provided a link to the Backup & Restore section of our help guide.

OK. I have done that, and imported it to the new machine.
Opened up the charts, all looks good.
Then, to my "shock horror" none of the indicators are correlating between the two machines... Same workspace, same data connection, restored one from the other.. and my indicator values are totally different on the new machine installation, the value area is different (dvaluearea) even the built in CCI has a different value.
How is this the case?

Even the chart candles are slightly off. I have reloaded historical, restarted, etc etc.
See attached charts, screenshot within seconds of each other. 30minute variants of CL, you can clearly see the candles are wrong on the "NewMachine" version, I checked the "OldMachine" candles against my CTS charts and they are spot on - So, something has happened with the new installation. Any ideas?
Please advise?

Hi Scottiedog,
Please answer the following questions:
1. Do you notice the gap in data on your second PC?
2. Who are you connected to as your data provider? This is displayed in green in the lower left corner of the Control Center window.
3. Please confirm the versions of NinjaTrader that are installed on both PC. This can be determined by left clicking Help > About.
4. Please try creating a new chart, with no indicators or templates. Do you still see a discrepancy?
Lastly, please use the steps below to change your Time Zone and sync the PC clock, note to set the server to time.nist.gov.
You can sync your PC clock by double clicking on the clock in the lower right corner of your desktop. Press 'Change time zone...' Set the Time zone and press 'OK'.
Once you have done that, click on Internet Time tab set the server to time.nist.gov and then click Update. Your PC clock should now be updated.
Thanks, I look forward to hearing back from you.JustinNinjaTrader Customer Service

1. The old machine is fine.
2. Vision - Rithmic
3. New Machine, Latest - 7.0.1000.10
Old Machine 7.0.1000.7
4. Created new chart. Still same data missing from chart. Attached.
Have already synced the clocks. Have done so again.
It seems it is something to do with the time. The chart patterns match now, but the timestamp on the bars seems screwed up. I really don´t understand it.

Possibly fixed it. Give me a few minutes.
I noticed that although the time was showing correct, that in the time zone the "adjust for daylight" was not checked on the new machine (it is checked on the old machine).
At first it made the time 1 hour wrong, but after a restart the time was correct again, with the "adjust for daylight" still checked.
Now the charts seem ok.. Just going through and checking everything.
What a pain!

Yep. That was it.
Really can´t believe it.
Why would having the "daylight adjust" active make such a difference? The time was correct even though it wasn´t clicked for adjust, and the time is the time.. isn´t it..

Hello ScottieDog,
I am pleased to hear that you resolved your inquiry.
The historical data saved on your PC is time stamped to your local PC clock. Synching your PC clock with the appropriate daylight savings settings to time.nist.gov is necessary to ensure accurate time stamps.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.JustinNinjaTrader Customer Service
