    P&F confusion

In the picture attached, I have prints of x or o for the price never traded in P&F charts.
They are marked with white arrows.
Setup is captured in the picture also.

What's the correct settings so I can have true prints of prices.

Other platforms such as IRT or Sierra doesn't print these false x or o.

    Thanks.

PS: Is there any known price line indicator that works with P&F chart?

    kalalex,

It looks ok to me on my side here. Please see the screenshot.

I have attached an indicator that will plot a close price line, please feel free to use it to check your charts.

      Adam,

I can't tell anything from your chart unless I wathed it tick by tick.

That's why I captured footprint chart initially.

      Here's the video recap.

This is crude oil with 6 tick reversal.

at 0:44 there's a new up bar and the first price was 89.05 and prive moved up.

Those 5 "x"s below 86.05 is false prints.

And the price line is not working right either.

It works fine for other type of charts without any problem.

So how do I fix this?

      Video's here.

        kalalex,

Currently I am not able to replicate this. Please try using that indicator with Calculate On Bar Close set to false and let me know if it displays X or 0 that is above/below the price line.

          Adam,

Main issue is not about the indicator (price line).

With or without the indicator I get these false prints in P&F chart.

            kalalex,

I would suggest trying to replicate this in market replay. Then, tell me the time, your timezone, and give me some replication steps so I can look into this further. So far I've been watching a CL chart and I haven't seen this occur yet.

              Adam,

Have you tried the setting like in the picture?

This is how I want to use P&F chart.

                I tried with replay data.
                It's CL09-12.

At 6:00:59 the price changed from 88.18 to 88.19 and a new green up bar printed.
From then on price went up and didn't go below 88.18 for a while but there are still 4 "X" prints on the chart.

Those 4 "X"s in the black rectangle are the false prints I'm talking about.

These false prints are all over my P& F charts.

                My time is PST.

                Picture attached.

                  kalalex,

What time zone are you in? What is your session template on this chart?

                  Who is your data provider?

With a live Kinetick feed currently I am unable to see this occur. I've been watching it for awhile. I will try with a replay connection but since we are located in Mountain time and chart times are based on your time zone I want to zero-in on this specific time. I will also need the session template info.

                      kalalex,

So at about 5:59 on your charts (6:59 for me) I am seeing the price trade at these prices where you identify the X's that don't plot. In other words, the prices are being traded at but the X's aren't plotting yet probably due to not satisfying the conditions for doing so. At about 7:00:59 as you have noticed it plots these X's, and I believe its based on these previously traded prices.

I can't understand what you are saying here at all

                        Why do you bring 5:59?
And 7:00:59 prints are due to previous trades?

                          kalalex,

Let me rephrase as I mixed up my times (I am an hour ahead of you).

So at about 5:59:00 - 5:59:59 on my charts I am seeing the price trade at these prices where you identify the X's that don't plot. In other words, the prices are being traded at but the X's aren't plotting yet probably due to not satisfying the conditions for doing so. At about 6:00:59 as you have noticed it plots these X's, and I believe its based on these previously traded prices.

My issue here is that there are prints (x & o) that shouldn't be.
Ghost / false prints are the problem.

                              kalalex,

I spoke with out technical lead, and he said this is expected. Notice that the charting of X's and O'x respectively always begins 1 tick above/below the previous column.

With a reversal of 6 you would need 6 upticks before a new bar is plotted and NinjaTrader would automatically fill in X's or O's for the ticks that got it to this point.
