    Understanding Multi CPU Core support

    Hello,

I'm not sure I understand the multi core CPU support in Ninja 7...

The following question should make it clear....

    1) When there are 5 charts running, each with 3 indicators, how is this work allocated to the cores?

    2) When there are 3 Market Analyzers, each with 5 instruments, and 2 indicators, how is this work allocated to the cores?

    3) When there are three DOMs running, how is this work allocated?

    4) When there are three Strategies running, on three different Instruments, how is this allocated.

    Thank you.

I believe this would all run on the same core, multicore is only used for backtesting.

        Hello,

        Thank you for your post.

Currently within NinjaTrader multiple cores will only be utalized when running a Backtest or an Optimization within the Strategy Analyzer window.

All other windows will currently use a single core however I have forwarded this to our development team as a suggestion on how we can improve the NinjaTrader platform. Once this suggestion has been input into our tracking system I will forward you the assigned ID number for tracking.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

            thank you

until then a fast single core running only ninja for the trading platform would seem to be more than adequate, for live trading
