    data error with new contract

    I have encountered one problem: with new contract like GC 12-12, the displayed charting data is like from 08-12, and so did when referred and calculated in a custom strategy. what is the problem?

    Hello Majorshi,

    Thank you for your post.



    When rolling over a contract before the defined date in NinjaTrader you will need to adjust the rollover date.


    To do this go to Tools > Instrument Manager...
    Select the GC from the Available Master Instrument List
    Select Edit
    Select the Misc tab
    Scroll to the bottom and select Contract Months
    Press the "..." Button
    For the 12-12 contract change the Rollover Date to a past date such as 7/30/2012
    Press OK in the Contract Months, Instrument Editor, and Instrument Manager


    You may need to right mouse click on the chart background > Reload all historical data after performing the steps above.
