    atm-positionclose-stopdelete

    Hello,

what I can´t find in the help guide is what is the command to close a position created with ATM and to delete the referring stop.

    (I don´t mean witht he buttons in chart-trader, I need it in a NT-script).

    Thanks
    Tony

    Hello tonynt,
To close a position create via an ATM strategy please use the ATMStrategyClose command. Please refer to our help guide to know more

Unfortunately you cannot delete a stop. The stop (and target) will be guided by the Atm template which you have assigned.

      Hello,

thanks for your reply. I know about the close. But I dont want to close (= all). I want to scale out, to exit a certain part of the contracts.

      Best
      Tony

        Hello tonynt,
        Thanks for the clarification.

If you have multiple targets then you can change any specific target using the AtmStrategyChangeStopTarget method and close that target.

For example if you are long and you can change the target price few ticks below the current market price. That will close that target order.

          Hello,

thank you for your support. Clear now.

But can I also call with this the target of another ATM?

To clearify: I don´t want to have brackets for safety reasons, so I only have stops in my ATM. To do the exit as discussed I think now it could work to call the target of another strategy referrint to my script. So, for better understanding: I have a strategy A where I do my entries and I have my stops in. But the targets are in strategy B (to avoid the brackets). Can I call these targets?

          Thanks
          Tony

            Hello tonynt,
Unfortunately you cannot call the method outside your strategy.

              Hello,

              thanks again. So, next idea:

how can I do an exit with/inside an indicator? Are these the same commands as with strategy-coding? Because when I do in an indicator now "ExitLong(1000);" I get the error message "ExitLong is not included in the actual context" (I think this should be the message translated to english). What would be the command in an indicator for exiting a certain quantity?

              Thanks
              Tony

                Hello tonynt,
The Entry() Exit() etc order methods are available via a NinjaScript strategy only and not via the NinjaScript indicator.

                  Hello,

yes, but is there another possibility to do an exit from an indicator somehow? When I can play a sound and NT is not a music-software, could maybe with the trading software an exit be possible instead of playing music?

                  Thanks
                  Tony

                    Hello Tony,
It may be possible using unsupported codes but nothing we could support.

I will however leave this thread open for any forum member for their valuable input.

                      Thank you,

so, in the meantime lets play music with Ninja-Music-Trader instead of closing positions.

                      Best
