CQG Data - NT Crashes on start

    CQG Data - NT Crashes on start

    Hi,

    Just put a new data connection on for CQG Data (through AMP).

    Restarted Ninja and now it keeps crashing on startup, every time.

    Must be the data connection causing it, was fine before.

    What can I do?

    OK. I have opened the CONFIG file and changed "connect on startup" to FALSE... Now Ninja will start up, but as soon as I hit the CONNECT for the CQG data it crashes again...

    Strange?

      Hello ScottieDog,

      Glad to hear that you were able to adjust the connect on startup condition.

      However, to further resolve this and see the exact error message regarding the crash we will need to view the diagnostic files.

      Please send me your log and trace files for today so that I may look into what occurred.

      You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Support.

      Please reference the following ticket number in the body of the email:

                I have most of the time the same problem with CQG. It never happened with ZF.
                The only solution is to connect without templates opened, and then open them one by one.
                If I connect to CQG with a couple of templates opened, it crashes by downloading the data...
                I'm very upset with CQG!

                  Please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with "ATTN: Chris J" in the subject line.

                  In the message, please include the following:
                  1.) A link to this forum thread.
                  2.) Your most current trace and log files.

                  You will find the file here: My Documents > NinjaTrader 7-> Trace > trace.YYYYMMDD.txt

                  Log file will be located by going to Documents->NinjaTrader 7->Log->log.YYYYMMDD.txt
