IB Connection problem

    IB Connection problem

    i can not connect to my IB account all of a sudden. When i shut down NT i DO get a pop up warning, possibly an error, but i comes up and disappears too fast to read. I believe it could be related to a symbol that I recently put into the manager. SPXU. i set it up but the data would not update. i deleted the symbol, that did not help. i reverted to a previous back up, did not help. can you please help diagnose as i can not use NT currently.

    So I may assist you further please answer the following.


    1) What version of NinjaTrader are you using?

    * You can check under Help -> About

    2) What version of Traders Workstation are you using?


    * To verify what version of Traders Workstation you currently have log into Traders Workstation
    * Under Help go to About Traders Workstation...
    * Scroll down and look for Build

    3) Does your Traders Workstation settings match the ones in the second screen shot of our Interactive Brokers connection guide?

    4) Are you using Mosaic Mode and if so do you have the Advanced Order Management (TWS) window open?


    5) Do you have any open or pending orders in Traders Workstation?

      Yes, config set up matches in TWS
      No idea what Mosaic Mode is.
      I do have stops in TWS and i have positions.

        I did just close my SPXU stop and i can now connect. i guess i need the SPXU set up in manager if i am trading it in IB? I was not able to get it to work properly for some reason.

          Thanks for your reply.

          I am glad to hear you got connected.

          Unfortunately there is a known issue where in rare cases open/pending orders can prevent Traders Workstation from connecting to NinjaTrader. Development is looking into a resolution for a future release of NinjaTrader.

          So I may assist you further with the SPXU, are you attempting to add the stock or future?

          Additionally, the current version of NinjaTrader and Traders Workstation supported together is NinjaTrader 9.0.1000.10 and Traders Workstation 927.7


          To check what version of NinjaTrader you are running go to Help> About
          To upgrade to NinjaTrader version 7.0.1000.10 please follow the link bellow.

          Under Current User paste your license key.
          You can locate your license key under Help> License key
          Select Download NinjaTrader
          Download Version 7.0.1000.10 (Current)
          Before running the installer ensure NinjaTrader is closed.


          You can download Traders Workstation 927.7 from the link below



          Once installed please ensure your settings still match the second screen shot in our Interactive Brokers Connection Guide which I have provided a link to below.
