    Squeeze doesnt work right

Hi there I have been using the Squeeze indicator but it doesnt seem to work as well as the TTM one and I wonder why. Could it be that I use IB as my data feed?

    Regards

    Matt

If I recall correctly there was discussion about slight differences in implementations of the Squeeze indicator since it was based off of the free code variant and not the proprietary TTM code.

      Squeeze Location?

Where is the code for the squeeze indicator, the one that is based on the free TS forum code that was created long before TTM 'added' to it ??????

Bogan, please post an example chart with name of instrument, type of chart, time of chart and which indicator version, I am sure someone can post a matching chart with a different feed.
Pivot, please try traderslaboratory for similar NT code.

I just saw your post so don't know if anyone's responded.

I tried for ages to get the squeeze to work using QT; eventually I found out that IB doesn't send all tick data but a packet of data every 0.2-0.3 seconds or so.

So, if you're using time charts it should work, if you're using tick charts that might be contributory.

I maybe doing something wrong but once I import it I cant find it in the indicators file and if i import it again it doesnt say the file already exists which is strange?

                  Hey pdawg,

Any idea why I am unable to plot the momentum bars as part of the histogram for CME currency futures such as 6C, 6J etc.

However for the E-mini indices ES, ER, NQ also ZG I am getting the momentum hist bars and change (fading momentum) color as momentum weakens.

Not sure why the currencies don't work, you may want to PM Gumphrie and ask him as he ported it over from teh TS code.

TTM has coded the BBS (squeeze) for Ninja. I was wondering if anyone has tryed it and if there is any difference in what is posted here?

                      Thanks,
                      Al

                        Hi
it is fact that, if you wanna compare the functions of these indicators using tick-charts you have to do it with the same datafeed. The tick-datas of different broker-sources are not the same - and IB especialy IB "dont give you every tick " a wise men use to say ;-)
So you have to stay with timecharts as cherriman said.

has anyone tried the BBS squeeze alert?

how does this work, and what are your experiences?

I tried this many times and charts and intervals, and it slows down loading initially as well as later when changing charts or intervals. Also the noise alert does not indicate which direction to expect either a change or further continuation of the direction, just with greater intensity. (mathematically an alert should indicate both conditions)

Can't Import BBS.CS indicator into NinjaTrader

I downloaded & attempted to import this to Ninja 6.5, but keep getting the error message:
"Unable to import file BBS.CS. Archive was not exported with NinjaTrader or its contents have been manipulated"

Thanks for any light you can shed on this.
