    Hello alexstox,

    1. Who are you connected to? This is displayed by green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.

    2. What time interval is selected?

    3. If you select the instrument inside the Orders tab of the Control Center do you see live incoming data to the left under the Bid/Ask/Last? See attached picture below.

Happy to be of further assistance.

      I'm so SORRY!!! Forgot!
      1. Kinetick EOD
      2. Daily
      3. ZW 12-12 shows the same as ZW 09-12 (for september).

!!! The same thing is for Soybean futures. ZS 11-12 (november contract) = ZS 09-12 (september), but in real different is about 20.00

        Hello alexstox,

        Thanks for that information.

This is going to be because the rollover dates have not yet happened for those contracts and by default NinjaTrader is going to have a Merge policy setting to merge the previous contracts so you can have historical data for the other contracts. If you do not wish to have them merged so you can view the contract you can change this setting by following the steps below.

        * - Go to the Control Center -> Tools -> Options
        * - Select the Data tab
        * - Set the Merge policy to "DoNotMerge"

See the following link for more information.

I have a CQG sim connection. My question is why does ZW stop chart plotting @1415 hrs? According to the CME Group site, trading hrs are 0930-1500hrs EST.
The chart also resumes at 1900hrs EST instead of 1800hrs EST.
It also takes a break at 0815hrs then resumes @1030hrs.
          Is this a CQG issue?

            Hello enagyzer,

So that I may further assist you could you tell me what time frame your chart is, the contract expiry that you are using, and what session template that you have applied? For example ZW 12-12 1 Minute, and to check the session template you would want to right click inside the chart then select Data Series, then in the right panel scroll down. Note if it says "<Use instrument settings>" please do the following, open up the Instrument Manager by going to Tools -> Instrument Manager then search for the instrument by typing in ZW under name and press Search. Next select the ZW instrument below and press the Edit button. This will bring up the Instrument Editor window where it will have the session template defined.

                Hello enagyzer,

                Thanks for that information.

The time filtering on your chart should be based on the session template and the one that you have applied (CBOT Agriculturals ETH) is going to be from 5:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Sunday - Friday Central Time. Which is going to be the Electronic platform hours, see the following link for more information.
                http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/agri...fications.html

You can create a custom Session Template to define the time frame you want to trade in by using the Session Manager. To open up the Session Manager go to the Control Center -> Tools -> Session Manager... From here you can view, edit, or create a new Session Template. For an example on how to create a new Session Template you can view the link below under 'How to create and edit a Session Template'.

Can you verify that you PC clock is in sync with a time server? Since, NinjaTrader charts are based off of your local PC clock. Please use the steps below to check your Time Zone and sync the PC clock, note to set the server to time.nist.gov.

You can sync your PC clock by double clicking on the clock in the lower right corner of your desktop. Press 'Change time zone...' Set the Time zone and press 'OK'.

Once you have done that, click on Internet Time tab set the server to time.nist.gov and then click Update. Your PC clock should now be updated. Make sure you install any windows updates as some windows updates will effect how your clock is synced as well.

After updating your PC clock, please restart NinjaTrader and let me know if you are still having issues.

                    Hello enagyzer,

You can use NinjaScript to be able to accomplish that. You can view the code of the system indicator HeikenAshi, that colors the bars by going to the Control Center -> Tools -> Edit NinjaScript -> Indicators and double click on the HeikenAshi.

There are a number of indicators that you can download as well in the Downloads section of the Support forum at the following link.

Our Help Guide is also a great resource to get started with NinjaScript that you may view. Here is a link to our Help Guide that goes over the BackColor that you may view.
