    Esignal data

I am using Esignal data in combination with Ninjatrader.

I noticed that when i run 2 strategies on the same Stock & time frame
for example. IBM & 15-minute that only the first activated strategy has a green
background, the second strategy has a Yellow background, which means that it is not
    active...

It also happens, when i select a few symbols sometimes...

I am connected to Interactive Brokers & Esignal, but the Connection column
    is only showing "Interactive Brokers"

Is it sure that i am receiving data from Esignal, and how can i prevent these problems ?

Would it be better to to switch to Kinetick or Barchart ?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

This does not indicate an issue with your data. This indicates that this is a trade based off of historical data and no position will be taken until the next signal is generated based off of real time data.

I have provided a link below that goes over Strategy Positions vs Account Positions.

I have also provided a link to our Help Guide below to our Help Guide that goes over the options available for starting a real time strategy which can be found under the "Understanding the NinjaScript tab" portion.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

      Thanks for your reply.

I hope you can help me out with one more issue...
Since i am connected to both Interactive Brokers & Esignal... How can
i be sure that the market data is actually retrieved from Esignal ?

I just had a strange spike tick in Ninjatrader chart of about 1dollar from the current market price in the stock,
which triggered a trade, while both Interactive Brokers data & Esignal data charts... are not
      showing this spike tick...

Do you know where this spike comes from and if there is a way to prevent trades in Ninjatrader, due to these erronous spikes ?

To be sure you are receiving all data from eSignal please connect to eSignal first within NinjaTrader and IB second.

NinjaTrader will display all data as sent from the provider thru their API. If you right mouse click within your chart and select "Reload all historical data" do the spikes remain on the chart?

If the spikes do remain within NinjaTrader 7 you may Edit data with the steps I have provided below:
        • Tools
        • Historical Data Manager
        • Edit
        • Locate the data you would like to edit
        • Double left mouse click on the value you would like to edit
        • Input the new value
        • Save
Now within your chart please right mouse click and select "Reload all historical data".

I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over Editing Data:

You may also enable a real time filter under Tools-->Options-->Data tab to eliminate this from occurring again in the future.

I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over the real time tick filter.
