Chart should only load at a predefined time

Hi.

How can i define when a chart has to be started at a specific time.

Let's say i only want the ES future at 8:00 am - 8:25 am

Every candles before and after are not allowed.


BTW:

how can i load two and more charts simultaneously with the same template?

Thank you for your forum post.


You can define when a chart will start showing bars with the Session Template. To check a session template on a chart that has already been created:

• Right mouse click on the chart background > Data series...
• From the Data series window, look in the right hand side under the "Data" section.
• Edit the "Session Template" to the desired session template.
• Click "OK" when finished.

You can edit the session templates, or create your own custom session template in the Session Manager:

• Control Center > Tools > Session Manager...

It would not be possible to load two charts simultaneously within NinjaTrader.


With that being said, you can load a multiple data series chart and apply a custom chart template to that data series as long as the chart template is configured for use with two data series.

• Control Center > File > New > Chart...
• From the Data series menu select your first data series and then click "New"
• Select your second data series, then click "New"
• Configure each data series on the right hand side.
• On the bottom of the Data series menu towards the right hand side there will be a drop down menu "Load the following chart template"
• Select the appropriate chart template and then click "OK"

OK.

Unexpected problem!

the chart will show up but all indicators won't work.

i.e. the normal "Volume" indicator doesn't show up:

The VOL indicator needs at least 20 bars before it will plot.
