Error - response too short

Hello,

When I try to load a chart I get "Error on loading chart data for *instrument*: Error - response too short (2D)(20(2D)(20)(2D)". I click ok and the chart looks ok. I'm using TD-Ameritrade.

Any idea?

Hello TexFly,

These errors are coming from TD Ameritrade servers that you are currently connected to that does not have historical data for that instrument.

You can try to disconnect and reconnect to the TD Ameritrade account connection to try to get another server that contains the historical data that you need in order to build your chart.

TDA is also down to 3 months of historical intraday, from what I recall.

I just tried to load IBM (1000 days!) and it worked...as JC said maybe it is related to the servers I get connected to. Is this possible? TD is not keeping their servers in sync?

Hello TexFly,

With the current API you will be dynamically assigned a server when you connect to TD Ameritrade so it is possible to get connected to multiple servers. As for their servers being in sync, I am not sure about that one.
