Stop loss even when computer down?

    Hello Bertrand

    I give a example:

I want to trade lets say the sp500 mini futures.
I place my order (buy) at 1400.00 and want to have a 10 ticks stop loss.
Over the ATM Strategy i can adjust the stop loss over the target 1 with putting the 10 tick (2,5 points).
    So the strategy is in
but it is only on my computer so if the connection fails for what ever reason my stop loss will not work.
How can i place a stop loss which is directly in the market and sells even when my computer is not connected to the broker (patsystems) and is there a way to place these kind of strategy with one click?

I thank you very much in advance.

    Greetins

(and maybe in this strategy it is even possible to combine it with a trailing stop?)

p.s. this is a copy from last entry from thread Connecting with 2 internet connections (think the question was not seen)

    Hello PeterPan,

Once orders receive an 'Accepted' or 'Working' status, they reside at the exchange or at the broker servers on most occassions. If NinjaTrader is shut down or disconnected, the order will still execute as per market dynamics. You can view the order status in the Control Center-->Orders-tab, State column. More information can be found at the link below.
Note: This information is relevant for NinjaTrader 7 only. For NinjaTrader 8, please click here (https://ninjatrader.com/support/helpGuides/nt8/where_do_your_orders_reside_.htm). CQG Orders in a state "Accepted" or "Working" are at the exchange. If the exchange does not support a specific order type, the

However, orders in an 'Accepted' status still reside on your computer with Patsystems.

Please note that OCO functionality resides in NinjaTrader for most broker technologies (except IB and TD Ameritrade). So if you have an OCO order set (stop loss and profit target - ATM orders) active and you lose connection or NinjaTrader is shut down, subsequently one of the OCO orders fills at the exchange, it will not cancel the other OCO order. NinjaTrader needs to be running and connected to send the order cancellation request.

The same applies when you have an entry order active, which was submitted with an ATM strategy atttached. If you are disconnnected and the entry order executes thereafter, no ATM orders will be sent since NinjaTrader is not connected.

      Hello Jason

      Thank you for your reply

ok at the moment i have a lot of internet connection issues
so i am usually trading over the charttrading mask
i buy market with atm strategy 10 points stop loss
how can i amke sure that my stop loss is at the exchange (working or accepted mode through patsystems) to be save when the internet or computer shuts down?

in simulation mode it jumps directly from pending to accepted to working
i guess it might be the same in real mode with patsystems?

      thank you

Unfortunately this cannot be configured. Orders will either have an 'Accepted' or 'Working' status. I am not sure what status is used for stop loss orders with Patsystems. However you can check this in the Control Center-->Orders-tab.

            Stop Loss

            Hello NT Team

I have to come back to you about my trading stategy.

So in simulation i placed my order over the chart
only with a stop loss of 10.
the order is filled directly and the stop only accepted so with patsystems only on my computer (according to your list in the tread http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...t=order+reside)

What can i do to have a working stop loss order with patsystems?

            (screenshot of order attached)

            thank you

Unfortunately this cannot be changed in NinjaTrader. I suspect stop loss orders cannot reside on the broker/Patsystems/exchange side. I suggest to contact your broker for confirmation and if this can be changed.
