    Import of historical data

    Hi,

I am importing historical data for NQ (eg. NQ 03-2011.Last.txt) but my problem that I can't add it into instrument list - last option for expiry is 10-11 (and then only ##-##). Can you please advise me how to add instruments older than 10-11?

    Thanks

    Hello antonek,
To access the contracts for 2011 please follow the below steps:
    • Close NinjaTrader.
    • Double clicking on the clock in the lower right corner of your desktop. Press 'Change date time... and change the date to say 12th October 2011 (instead of 2012).
    • Now reopen NinjaTrader.

Now you will be able to see the contracts for 2011. Please add the instruments to the Default (or any other) instrument list.

Once you have done it close NinjaTrader and please change the time again to the current date.
    • Double clicking on the clock in the lower right corner of your desktop. Press 'Change date time... and change the date to say 12th October 2012

Please let me know if I can assist you any further.

        another trouble

Now I have trouble importing data for ES 03-2011:
        - name of the file seems correct
        - data seems correct
but NT tells me "instrument not supported by repository" (or something like that)

        Please see attached file.

          Hello antonek,
If you change the name of the file to ES 03-11.Last.txt (txt is the file extension) then can you import the data.

            Wrong file

My mistake, I have trouble with "ES 03-2012.Last.txt" file. Can you please confrim that from point of view the file is correct? NT still shows me "Instrument is not supported by repository".

I tried renaming the file "ES 03-12.Last.txt" with same result.

            Thanks

              Hello antonek,
The correct name is ES 03-12.Last.txt and not ES 03-2012.Last.txt

Please try importing the attached file and see if you can import it or not.

As i wrote before I tried renaming the file without success...

But i found solutions -> I added instrument "ES 03-12" to instrument list and then the import was successful. Thank you for your patient.
